Dave Petit, our executive director and a local historian and expert on the iron industry in Central Pennsylvania and on Colerain Forges in particular, will be your tour guide of the historic mansion and grounds. Dave is currently researching the community that once existed around the ironmaster's mansion and will help you put the current structure into its historical context.

Aside from events, visits to Colerain Forges Mansion are by appointment only. Tours can be scheduled for the first two Sundays of each month from May to October. Tickets in advance are preferred but walk-ins are accepted.

On July 17 and 18 at Colerain Forges Mansion, explore with painter Lynn Margileth a process of drawing and painting in oil or acrylic that informs how you see value, form and color. Lynn is an experienced teacher who guides participants to feel at ease in learning new skills. She will work with each beginning or experience participant individually, as well as give demonstrations in drawing and painting. The two sessions are limited to 10; last day to register is Saturday, July 11.
