Historical Tours with Dave Petit

Step Back into History

Dave Petit, local historian and expert on the iron industry in Central Pennsylvania and on Colerain Forges in particular, will be your tour guide of the mansion and the grounds. Dave is currently researching the signs of the community that once existed around the iron master's mansion and will help you put the current structure into its historical context.

Each tour starts on the hour (at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00) and lasts about an hour. Please RSVP as each tour is limited to 8 people. Suggested donation of $10 per person.

As a historic site, the mansion and grounds don't have modern physical mobility accommodations. Due to the delicate nature of the mansion, tours are appropriate for ages 12+. Please contact us at tours@coleraincenter.org with any questions.
